My PDF was rejected as “scanned images”
We need the text layer so readers and Google Scholar can search inside the paper. Export the PDF directly from Word, LaTeX or Google Docs instead of scanning or printing to image. If you only have a scan, run it through OCR first.
Can I upload the version published in a journal?
Only if the publisher allows it. Most allow the preprint or the accepted manuscript. You can also share the abstract only and keep the PDF for reviewers.
How long does verification take?
Usually a few days. An institutional email on your institution’s domain and an ORCID iD with publications make it faster.
I did not get the confirmation email
It comes from Science Official, no-reply@scienceofficial.org. Check spam, then use “Send it again” on the sign-in page.
How do I change my email or password?
Sign-in is powered by Chakloon Passport. Change them at pass.chakloon.com with the same account.
